Laminate flooring is a multi-layer synthetic flooring product, fused together with a lamination process. Laminate flooring simulates wood (or stone) with a photographic layer under a clear protective layer. The inner core layer is usually composed of melamine resin and fibre board materials.
Engineered hardwood flooring is a product made up of a core of hardwood, plywood. HDF, spruce/pine and a top layer of hardwood veneer that is glued on the top surface of the core and is available to supply in almost any wood specie. The product has the natural characteristics of the selected wood species as opposed to a photographic layer. The engineered product has been designed to provide great stability, particularly where moisture or heat pose problems for the solid hardwood floors.
Solid hardwood flooring is made of the same timber species throughout its entire thickness — explaining why it’s often referred to as simply solid wood flooring.
The wood used is most commonly oak. Solid wood can be sanded and resealed.
Vinyl flooring is a 100% synthetic material. In standard planks and l tiles, the base layer is usually fibreglass which is then coated with PVC vinyl and a plasticiser. The resulting planks/tiles are printed and embossed with a surface print layer.
It is waterproof, stable, quiet and strong SPC flooring (Stone Plastic Composite or Solid Polymer Core) is a vinyl flooring material that has a rigid core often made from powered limestone, polyvinyl chloride, and stabilisers. This product has the underlay / backing is attached. It is waterproof, dense, dimensionally stable, quiet and strong.
